EVENT TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Frankton McDonald’s Colour Run/Walk is a community-focused event, designed to be a fun, set-your-own-pace, all-weather event. Please also read our Event Information for details on the schedule, activities, and site layout.
Participation
Participation is entirely at your own risk. The event organisers, sponsors, volunteers, and partners are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage that may occur during or as a result of the event.
Tickets and Donations
All ticket sales are final. We do not offer full refunds, as all proceeds from the event are donated directly to Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC® NZ ). Tickets may be transferred to another participant; please see our FAQs for guidance.
Event Changes
The organisers reserve the right to adjust the date, venue, or activities if required. In the event of a postponement, your ticket will remain valid for the new date. Every effort will be made to reschedule rather than cancel.
Safety Rules
Participants must follow all instructions from event staff, marshals, and safety personnel. Failure to comply may result in removal from the event without refund.
Venue Rules
All participants must adhere to the rules of the event venue, including: No animals (except certified service dogs or dogs on lead). No alcohol, smoking, or vaping Compliance with any other regulations set by the venue or event team
Unforeseen Circumstances
The organisers are not liable for changes or cancellations caused by circumstances beyond their control, including severe weather, public health restrictions, or other emergencies.
Accessibility
We aim to make the event as accessible as possible. Please note that prams, strollers, and wheelchair access are welcome where feasible, but some areas may have limitations due to terrain conditions
Photography and Media
By taking part, you consent to being photographed or filmed. Photos and videos may be used by the organisers for marketing, social media, or promotional purposes.
Personal Belongings
Participants are responsible for their own personal items. The organisers accept no liability for loss, theft, or damage.
Children and Supervision
Children under 14 must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible person aged 16 or older at all times.
Water Safety Disclaimer – Lake Proximity
The event site is located next to Innes Common, Hamilton Lake. While the area is generally safe, there is always a risk of drowning or water-related accidents. Parents and caregivers are responsible for supervising children at all times in and around the lake area. The organisers, venue, and sponsors accept no liability for any water-related incidents.
Risk Acknowledgement
You acknowledge that participation may involve physical activity, exposure to powder, and other event-related risks. Participation is voluntary, and you accept full responsibility for any injury or risk.your content...
Feedback & Suggestions
Participants are encouraged to complete post-event feedback forms. Suggestions and ideas provided are welcome but are for planning purposes only; organisers are not obliged to implement them.
